This report has been produced by the three Strategic Health Authorities for Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire; Leicestershire, Northamptonshire & Rutland and Thames Valley on behalf on the Milton Keynes and South Midlands Health & Social Care Sub Group (H&SCSG). It follows a number of studies commissioned by the Health & Social Care Sub-Group to inform the future planning of health and social care services in the Milton Keynes and South Midlands (MKSM) sub-region.

Firstly, to review the existing strategic plans of the SHAs and of those of the health and social care organisations in their area to identify the extent to which they incorporate the requirements of the proposed growth in population over the next 25 years. And secondly, to examine specific cross boundary issues in relation to public health, specialist commissioning, health and social care workforce, ‘Connecting for Health’ and capital development programmes. |
