Time running out to comment on town plans
There is just under two weeks left for people to have their say on proposals for how Daventry will look in 2040.
The Daventry Masterplan 2040 sets out a long-term vision that describes how the town could be in 30 years’ time, with improvements to education, employment, leisure, local transport and shops.
It was developed following a series of workshops with community groups, businesses, and parish and town councils last year, and the consultation to get residents’ feedback has less than two weeks to run.
The masterplan is on public display at Long Buckby Library and at Daventry District Council’s offices in Lodge Road until December 21. It can also be viewed online.
Representatives from Daventry District Council will also be able to answer any questions and receive comments from members of the public at Long Buckby Library on Friday, December 9, from 2pm to 4pm.
Comments on the proposals must be made in writing and sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than 4.30pm on Wednesday, December 21.
Alternatively they can be posted to the Local Strategy Service at Daventry District Council, Lodge Road, Daventry, NN11 4FP, and should be marked ‘Daventry 2040’.
